Stacking is available upon request with the price depending on the distance the wood has to be carried.

For deliveries outside the FNSB Wayne charges $2 per mile once he gets outside of the borough.

Order Information

        The time it takes to receive your order from the time you place it depends.  Much of the year Wayne has a two-to-four week waiting list for wood.  For example, if the list is two-weeks "out", as Wayne calls it, a customer who places an order on May 01 can expect delivery the week of May 15.  Each customer who calls is given an estimated delivery date when they place an order, and all customers are welcome to call at anytime between their order date and delivery date to cancel, change, or check on the status of their orders. 

        Ocassionally Wayne will fall behind a week or more on his orders.  This is due mainly to circumstances beyond his control, such as:

Migratory bird issues - in which woodsman can't get into their sales because of environmental protection for such birds

High-risk wildfire times, when the use of machinery out in the woods is prohibited

Times of excessive rain or extreme cold (-30 or colder)  

There are also times that equipment needs repaired and personal or family illness may cause Wayne to get behind. 

        If a schedule delay occurs, customers are contacted by Wayne Hunter the Wood Cutter to let them know what's going on.  If your estimated week of delivery passes and you've received no order or phone call to let you know it's behind please call 488-WHWC (9492) to check on your order.

Delivery Information

        Delivery to anywhere in the Fairbanks North Star Borough is free.  Delivery outside of the borough is $2 per mile starting when Wayne leaves the borough. 

        Delivery times are flexible.  Wayne can deliver anytime between 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and on Fridays from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.  Wayne works with each customer to find a delivery time that works best for them.

*Wayne does not recommend burning the green wood prior to adequate seasoning because of chimney fire risks and other hazards.
